Southernsbroadstock had the pleasure of helping refurbish the Samaritans Leeds branch as part of Willmott Dixon’s Foundation Trainee Challenge.
The challenge aims to encourage participants to leave a lasting legacy within the local community. Each year, management trainees are nominated to identify, plan and deliver a project to create positive change. Not only does it provide hands-on project management experience, it also helps to foster the principles of social values important to Willmott Dixon as a whole.
For their most recent Foundation Trainee Challenge, participants assisted Samaritans with refurbishing their Leeds office. This included their kitchen and relaxation areas, as well as their important Operations room where volunteers rotationally cover 24-hour shifts to assist those going through crisis. Even a bedroom, to support their long working hours and essential, well-deserved rest.
Willmott Dixon’s trainees reached out to Southernsbroadstock to help deliver this project and it was our pleasure to assist. We supplied them with furniture – free of charge – to support the Samaritans team. For their Operations area, we provided our Calculus task chairs, designed for long-lasting comfort over time. And for casual seating spaces, our Brunel table and Bowcliffe lounge chairs create a relaxing place to take a break and recharge.
The final outcome of the Foundation Trainee Challenge was a huge success and it was a fantastic project to contribute towards. On behalf of the entire Southernsbroadstock team – well done to all of the Willmott Dixon management trainees for putting their skills and resources into such a worthwhile project!
